Free online course in antibiotic stewardship launched by WHO
WHO has launched an online course in antibiotic stewardship. It is aimed at physicians who prescribe antibiotics, whether in primary health or hospital-based. It is mainly built on a number of modules of high relevance, such as UTI, community acquired respiratory tract infections, but also bloodstream infections and acute infectious diarrhea, to mention a few. For the one who wishes, it is also possible to obtain a confirmation of participation after completion of course. The course is estimated to take approximately 8 hours to complete. Though of course resistance patterns, logistics and infrastructure varies, this course should have something to offer for most settings.
